This is my first ever blog, so please bear with me, I don’t know what I am doing. Nor for that matter, have I really posted any of my photos online before bar the odd snapshot uploaded to facebook, but I want this to be a photoblog.

I plan to take a picture every day for the next year. Actually, I plan to take a picture every day for the next umpteen years…. I don’t keep a diary, my kids memory books are hopelessly out of date, and I like taking pictures. During this project, I hope to improve my photographic capabilities and, like every person who has undertaken a 365 project, I hope my photos will reflect the improvements over the year.

I have started the project on the first day of our holiday in Poland, and I imagine many of the pictures will be ones of my family members, or of a scene that presents itself to me on the day. However, being a busy mum, with 3 gorgeous boys to run after, I should imagine that inspiration will often run dry. I will sometimes try to follow a theme, perhaps weekly, and I would like some inspiration. One area of photography I really must try out is that of self-portrait. I HATE having my picture taking, which I guess is ironic for a photographer, but there you go. I would really like to overcome this fear and take some pictures of myself!
