Ewelme Watercress

I decided to take the scenic route home after an appointment today and on the way to nursery, and stopped at the pretty village of Ewelme. Although there was rapeseed aplenty in the fields all around here, for me, this bed of watercress is much more unusual! These beds were established in the 1890’s and have in recent years been restored by villagers and the Chiltern Society.
