Day 211
Alexei’s sheer delight at climbing the tree was lovely to see. He actually did get higher than this – but had to be rescued a few times!

Another day working with lights and we finally got to photograph a model, rather than each other. There are many lovely shots of her, but I really like this natural dreamy look.
Another weekend of practising portraiture – and today we had Simon on a swing!
Today, instead of going to the cafe for an apple juice and meringue, Alexei decided that we should stay at home and bake cupcakes. All very well, but he is not really into eating them afterwards!
Back to the routine and so to college… today we were in Windsor shooting candids. I like this man sitting there with his cup of tea, seemingly oblivious to the changing of the Guards as they marched past his table.
And so to home and away from the rain we had here today – back to school and nursery runs, cooking supper and, of course, bed time routines…… feeling quite exhausted again! Luckily husband is here to help today.
This is the view from our hotel window. Not bad huh? It was an amazingly still lake this morning and I am glad I took some pictures from the balcony before breakfast, as by mid morning, it had got rather more choppy. It is a big lake – I should know as we foolishly decided […]
A couple of days away, without the kids, who are at home having a ball with granny. Meanwhile, we are enjoying the fabulous Welsh countryside, though as a 5 month pregnant lady, with an exhausted 10k running husband with a now dodgy knee in tow, our rambles are more like ambles… but all the better […]
Today, amidst the wind, rain, sleet and then snow, about a 1000 runners set off from near our house to run 10k round our lovely countryside, all in aid of our primary school. This shows the start of the race and the man to the right of the picture, number 861, sprinted round in record […]
Yummmmm, multi-grain bread baked overnight, smelling great and ready for the apricot jam in the morning. Shame I am the only one in the house who eats it, don’t you think?
