It was a busy day today. But now I have dropped off the two eldest at friend’s for a sleepover, my husband is away preparing to be an iron man tomorrow, and my youngest is sleeping soundly upstairs. Time for an evening with my friends Ben & Jerry!
Granny came up for the day and she and Alexei went elderflower picking so that we can make elderflower cordial. Here are the flowers with Alexei washing the bugs off before we leave them to steep with, mainly, sugar.

Today I have reached the 37 week mark which technically means I am full term, though I cannot imagine any baby of mine coming early, or even on the due date, so think I still have a few weeks more. Phew, lots to do…..
We normally see lots of poppies around now, but, for some reason, this year there are no poppy fields blanketing the landscape in carpets of red or purple. However, there are a few wild poppies I have seen to admire and feed my addiction.
